I recently received a spontaneous invite to join Jamie Oliver and his mate Jimmy Doherty for a pukka tea on Richmond Green.
Jamie had just launched his Italian Trattoria, the latest format in his chain of restaurants as well as his new book, Save With Jamie. He was filming for an upcoming TV show and had laid on a great spread for Richmond patrons.
They were both as chirpy and full of banter as they come across on the small screen. Had a quick chat with Jamie after the shoot and swopped foodie tips – he promises to consider South African cuisine in future endeavours.
